Krane Care Program

Waxed Cotton fabric has many good qualities associated with its make-up, however it is often puzzling how to clean it. Because this fabric is in our brand DNA, we feel it our responsibility to give you the breakdown.
ESSENTIAL SUPPLIES
water basin with wash rag
saddle soap
light spray cleanser
high pressure garden hose
Now you’re equipped to execute the following steps!
Step 1.
Using the garden hose, give the coat a good coating of water to dampen it , and loosen the dirt build up over the years
Step 2.
Apply saddle soap with wash rag, using a spot wash technique through entire coat shell. Pay close attention to heavy perspiration areas. You want a spot wash technique as opposed to a scrubbing technique, to not remove the existing original waxed coating.
Step 3.
Clean the wool lining of the coat with a light detergent spray, and finish off with a pressure water rinse
Step 4.
Rinse off saddle soap application. With garden hose on highest pressure setting, rinse off all the soap.
Step 5.
Find a clean flat surface, and let coat dry in the sun flat. If this is not possible, you can also hang dry, and let the sun do its work.
plastic or composite fibre chairs are a nice clean surface for the coat to dry in also. Be sure to flip the coat periodically based on the strength of the heat.
Step 6.
Depending on original state of the waxed coating, (more often than not) you will want to get a fresh coat of wax applied to the coat. This is a service that we provide. It involves a thorough application of waxed coating over the entirety of the coat followed by a steam-setting process.
If this project sounds like more work than fun, we will be happy to service your Krane coats and bags for you.
